Results timeline

You’ll see an immediate lift and contour, with full settling and final shape appearing after swelling resolves within 1–2 weeks.

Before your appointment

Hydrate well in the days leading up to your appointment.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications or supplements (ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E) for 48 hours unless prescribed.
Pause retinol or exfoliating acids for 2–3 days.
Arrive with clean skin and no makeup.
Let your provider know if you bruise easily, take blood thinners, smoke, have an autoimmune condition, a history of cold sores, any active infection (including acne), allergies, recent dental work or vaccines, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Eat a light meal beforehand and wear loose comfortable clothing if treating areas beyond the face.

After your appointment

Avoid touching, massaging, or sleeping on your cheeks unless your injector instructs otherwise.
Sleep on your back with your head elevated for the first few nights to reduce swelling.
Mild tenderness is normal; you may take acetaminophen (Tylenol) if needed.
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heat exposure (hot yoga, saunas, steam).
Skip facials, lasers, or other skin treatments for 2 weeks, unless cleared by your injector.
Normal side effects include mild swelling, tenderness, bruising, or firmness at the injection sites — these typically resolve within 3–5 days.
When to Contact Your Provider:
If you notice hard lumps that don’t resolve, skin discoloration or blanching (pale or white areas), rash, hives, warmth, fever, or drainage, reach out to your provider immediately.

Cheek filler restores midface structure and balance using advanced injectable formulations such as hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers (Restylane®, Juvéderm®, Elvólysse, Teoxane) and Radiesse® (calcium hydroxylapatite / CaHA), as recommended by your provider.
These fillers enhance volume, definition, and hydration while supporting natural facial movement. The result is improved symmetry and a refreshed, lifted contour.
Interested in a gradual, collagen-building option? Ask your injector about Sculptra® or Renuva® as alternative volume solutions.
