Before your appointment

Hydrate well in the days leading up to your appointment.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications or supplements (ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E) for 48 hours unless prescribed.
Pause retinol or exfoliating acids for 2–3 days.
Arrive with clean skin and no makeup.
Let your provider know if you bruise easily, take blood thinners, smoke, have an autoimmune condition, a history of cold sores, any active infection (including acne), allergies (bee stings), recent dental work or vaccines, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Eat a light meal beforehand and wear loose comfortable clothing if treating areas beyond the face.

After your appointment

Massage lightly every 2-3 hours with clean fingers. Arnica as directed.
