Instant results! Long-Term (with regular treatments): Refined texture, more even tone, less visible dullness, and enhanced results from other facials, peels, and skincare products.

Before your appointment

Arrive with a clean face if possible—skip makeup or heavy skincare that morning.
Pause exfoliants (retinol, AHAs, BHAs, scrubs) for at least 3 days prior so your skin is calm and ready.
Avoid in-office treatments like peels, laser, or waxing on the face for 7 days before and after this service.
If you're using prescription skincare (like tretinoin), let your provider know so we can adjust the treatment accordingly.
Hydrate well and get good sleep—your skin shows everything!

After your appointment

No special recovery is needed, but for best results: avoid water, steam, or sweating for 4 hours.
Skip makeup for at least 12 hours.
Avoid exfoliating acids, retinoids, or scrubs for 48 hours.
Use gentle hydrating skincare and mineral SPF to maintain results.
Sleep on a clean pillowcase the night of your service.

Dermaplaning uses a sterile stainless steel surgical blade to manually exfoliate the outermost layer of dead skin cells and remove vellus hair (peach fuzz). This controlled superficial exfoliation smooths texture, helps unclog surface debris, and immediately enhances light reflection for a brighter complexion. By removing this barrier layer, subsequent skincare products can penetrate more effectively, boosting the impact of both professional and at-home treatments.

Key Ingredients

  • Stainless steel surgical blade (mechanical exfoliation)

This service is low-risk when performed correctly. Mild superficial scratches or nicks can occur if the skin moves unexpectedly or if there are unseen raised areas. Clients with very reactive or acne-prone skin may experience temporary breakouts as cell turnover increases. Those with a history of cold sores should inform their provider, as exfoliating procedures can theoretically trigger a flare in susceptible individuals.
